All appointments are in-person.
Women, Infant, and Children (WIC) is a federally funded program that provides assistance for women, infants, and children. Eligibility for participation is income-based. Those that are eligible for Medicaid, SNAP, and Food Stamps are adjunctively eligible for WIC. The WIC program for Middlesex and Monmouth County is under Visiting Nurse Association Health Group, which is a non-profit organization dedicated to the promotion, restoration, and maintenance of health status of individuals and the community. The aim of the WIC program is to help decrease the risk of poor birth outcomes and to improve the health of infants and development, through the distribution of vouchers for supplemental nutritious foods, coupled with access to nutrition education, and appropriate referrals to other health or social services. WIC does not discriminate based on age, race, or gender. The New Jersey Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women Infants and Children is commonly known as WIC. WIC is a successful public health nutrition program that provides wholesome food, nutrition education and community support for income eligible women who are pregnant and post-partum, infants and children up to five years old.
